Life Force Arts Center is located at 1609 W. Belmont, Chicago IL 60657. We're a storefront on Belmont Avenue, on the southwest corner of the intersection of Belmont, Lincoln and Ashland Avenues. We are just west of Central Savings bank, between J & M Jacobs Tax Service and Star Events.

FREE PARKING is available in Central Savings bank parking lot when the bank is closed (during the hours listed below):

after 4 PM on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays & Fridays
after 1 PM on Saturdays
all day Wednesdays
all day Sundays
all day on bank holidays (when the bank is closed)

The Central Savings parking lot is located on Ashland Avenue just south of Belmont, in the rear of Central Savings. You do not need a permit or card for your car in order to park in this lot while you are at LFAC events.

Other parking options

There is FREE street parking near the Center on the side streets south of Barry or west of Ashland. There is a City of Chicago metered parking lot on Barry Street, just south of the Center. The cost is one hour for $1.50 and you can purchase up to 6 hours of time on the meter. Meters in this lot are operational 24 hours per day.

There are also meters on the streets near the Center. These meters are operational from 8 AM - 9 PM seven days a week. We do not recommend parking at these meters, since they cost $1.50 per hour and they are only two hour parking. The meter readers patrol vigilantly and will issue a $50 parking ticket if you overstay even a few minutes. For example, if the event you are attending is 2 hours, you will have to run out and feed the meter before the end of the event, or you will most likely get a $50 ticket.

Directions From 90-94

Traveling south - get off at the Kimball exit. Stay in the left hand lane as you get off the expressway; go 1/4 block on Kimball to Belmont. Turn left (east) onto Belmont. We are located at 1609 W. Belmont. To get to our FREE parking (Central Savings parking lot): Traveling east on Belmont, turn right (south) on to Ashland Avenue. The parking lot is 1/2 block south of Belmont on Ashland.

Traveling north - get off at the North Avenue exit. Go west on North Avenue to Ashland. Turn right (north) on Ashland to Belmont. Turn left onto Belmont - we are at 1609 W Belmont, just west of Ashland. To get to our FREE parking (Central Savings parking lot) the best way is to circle the block so you can make a right hand turn into the parking lot. Traveling north on Ashland, turn left (west) on Barry two blocks to Paulina. Turn right (north) onto Paulina. Go one block, then turn right (east) onto Belmont. Go one block to Ashland, turn right (south) onto Ashland. The Central Savings parking lot is 1/2 block south of Belmont on Ashland.

Directions From Lake Shore Drive

Get off at the Belmont exit. (Note: Belmont near Lake Shore Drive is very crowded. You may want to get off Lake Shore Drive at the Irving Park or Fullerton instead of Belmont.) Go west on Belmont to our location, 1609 W Belmont. To get to our FREE parking (Central Savings parking lot) the best way is to circle the block so you can make a right hand turn into the parking lot. Go west on Belmont to Greenview Street. Turn left (south) onto Greenview to Barry. Turn right (west) on Barry two blocks to Paulina. Turn right (north) onto Paulina. Go one block, then turn right (east) onto Belmont. Go one block to Ashland, turn right (south) onto Ashland. The Central Savings parking lot is 1/2 block south of Belmont on Ashland.

Directions By Elevated Train

Take the Red, Brown or Purple Lines to the Belmont station. Walk or take a #77 Belmont bus west on Belmont about one mile to 1609 W Belmont, near the corner of Belmont, Lincoln and Ashland.
