Universal wisdom teachings speak of the Skills of Youth and Maturity. These are not based in chronological age, but rather the inner awareness, the Skill, with which a person approaches life. The two Skills of Maturity are having Love and Wisdom to create healing and community. The Healer has the Love to guide transformational process to restore wholeness; the Sovereign and Teacher have the Wisdom to create peace and prosperity within the human community, with nature and the spirit realm. In this show, participating artists have expressed their experiences with love, wisdom, healing and community-building through their artwork.
The exhibit features a wide variety of media including painting, photography, sculpture, mixed media and installation. Life Force Arts Center Artistic Director Joan Forest Mage says, “It’s fascinating to see the interpretations that artists have about the theme. At LFAC, our art exhibits create sacred space in which performances, concerts, poetry readings, workshops, lectures become healing rituals, infused with transformative power to heal and enlighten.”
