Welcome to a sacred space and time, where art’s spiritual power creates the insights, healing and transformation you need.

Find inspiration in the extraordinary artwork of Songs of the 4 Communities, the current exhibit at Life Force Shamanic Arts & Healing. This event is held on the second Thursday of each month. Each month we feature the artwork of one of the artists in the show.

Expect serene music, soft lighting, and other sensory soothing stimuli aiding your shift into the deep contemplation where healing happens. Chairs and pillows are provided for meditation, and paper, pens, crayons, markers and other drawing implements are available if you wish to write or draw your reflections.

The centerpiece of our meditation is a magical art installation created especially for this evening by Life Force Associate Artistic Director Steven Blaine Adams.This imaginative display enhances the meaning and symbolism of the featured artwork, inviting you to go deeper into the visionary world. The schedule for the evening:

7:30 – 7:45 Welcome: Life Force Founder & Director Joan Forest Mage explains the process for this evening; tonight’s Featured Artist talks about their artwork; Life Force Associate Artistic Director Steven Blaine Adams remarks on his installation
7:45 – 8:30 Attendees quietly meditate on any of the artwork in the show. Joan plays soft meditative music. Attendees are invited to write or draw their impressions, or simply meditate quietly
8:30 – 9 pm Discussion and sharing of experiences, writing and/or artwork attendees created during the meditation

At the end of our time together, we have the opportunity to share our insights about art and life with this community of like-minded souls. Hosted by Life Force Founder and Director Joan Forest Mage and Associate Artistic Director Steven Blaine Adams.

Marilyn Hrymak, Featured Artist for 10/8/26

I work with mixed media including reclaimed fabrics and paper, notions and charms. Also, my recent work is with collage and pastel drawings on wood panels putting extras around the edges. My work incorporates symbols from nature, witchcraft, Goddess and ancient mythology. I study women and mythology and am especially interested in justice for women and children as it was in most ancient civilizations.

My Grandparents immigrated from Ukraine in their late teens around 1918 and as I was growing up heard stories about the atrocities that were occurring in that Soviet occupied country from relatives that were still there. Then I began to understand the importance of justice and equality. I am full of rage about violence, terror and lawlessness presently occurring in our world caused by patriarchal domination. Art is one of the many ways I try to change the inequalities and work toward a gift economy and matristic society as in ancient times
