Drumming is often called the heartbeat of Mother Earth. Drumming has been shown to alter human brainwaves to an elevated state, reduce stress, speed healing, and just be plain fun. Whether you have never played a drum before, have been drumming for years, or are somewhere in between, come join us for this open drum circle. For shamanic students and practitioners, this is a great way to do shamanic journeying through music!
Drums of any kind, as well as shakers, tambourines, bells, sticks, vocals, body percussion, etc. are very welcome. Instruments will be available to borrow. Masks are requested. A ritual drummer who enjoys supporting group energy and dynamics, Cathy McManamon has facilitated numerous drum circles and rhythm workshops.
